Privacy Policy
Effective August 4, 2026. This policy explains how Simply Help handles user information.
1. Who We Are
Simply Help L.L.C. operates an online marketplace that connects customers with independent helpers. For privacy, legal, or support questions, contact support@getsimplyhelp.com.
2. Relationship To Our Terms Of Service
This Privacy Policy forms part of your relationship with Simply Help and should be read together with our Terms of Service.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information needed to operate, support, and protect the platform:
- Name, email address, phone number, and account profile information
- Task addresses, service locations, task details, and task photos
- Platform communications that may be stored for support, safety, and dispute resolution
- Payment-related information processed through Stripe or another designated payment processor
Simply Help currently collects task addresses and service locations, not continuous background location tracking.
4. Information We Automatically Collect
When you use the Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Timestamps of activity, including login time, logout, and failed login attempts
- Security events, such as password changes or suspicious account activity
- Error logs and diagnostic information used to maintain platform reliability
5. Cookies, Analytics, And Advertising
Simply Help may use:
- Cookies
- Authentication tokens
- Local storage
- Similar technologies
to keep users signed in, remember preferences, improve security, and analyze platform performance.
Simply Help uses the Meta Pixel, an advertising and measurement tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., the operator of Facebook and Instagram. When you use the Platform, the Meta Pixel may collect technical information including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and certain actions you take, such as creating an account, posting a task, or completing a payment. For completed payments we also share the transaction amount. This information is shared with Meta so that we can measure how our advertising performs and show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.
We do not send Meta your name, email address, phone number, task or home addresses, task photos, messages, or face verification data.
Meta processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy. You can manage how Meta uses your information for advertising through your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and you can block the Meta Pixel using browser privacy settings or extensions that restrict third-party tracking.
If Simply Help introduces additional analytics services such as Google Analytics, PostHog, Mixpanel, or similar services, those providers may collect technical information about your use of the Platform.
Simply Help currently does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
6. How We Use Information
We use information to create and manage accounts, connect customers and helpers, post and manage tasks, process payments, support helper payouts, provide customer support, improve safety, review disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
We may send transactional communications about accounts, tasks, payments, safety, support, and policy updates. These communications are necessary to the service and cannot be opted out of. We may also send optional marketing communications, which users may opt out of at any time.
7. Photos, Messages, And User Content
The following may be stored to operate the service, support users, improve safety, and help review disputes or account activity:
- Profile photos
- Task photos and completion photos
- Messages between users
- Reviews and ratings
8. Face Verification
Helpers are required to complete face verification before accepting tasks, and periodically thereafter. This process captures a live photo ("selfie") and compares it against your stored profile photo using AWS Rekognition, a third-party facial comparison service.
The selfie image itself is used only for that comparison and is not stored by Simply Help. We retain only the result of the comparison and the date and time it was performed, which is used to confirm your verification status. Your profile photo is retained as part of your account as described elsewhere in this Policy.
9. Payments
Payment-related information is processed through Stripe or another designated payment processor. Simply Help does not sell payment information. Payment processors may collect and process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Service Providers
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the platform:
- Stripe for payment processing and helper payout onboarding
- Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and related platform infrastructure
- AWS Rekognition for automated face verification comparisons
- Email service providers for transactional and optional marketing communications
- Meta Platforms for advertising measurement and ad delivery, as described in Section 5
11. Legal, Safety, And Platform Protection
We may access, preserve, use, or disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal requests, protect users, investigate fraud or safety issues, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Simply Help, users, or others.
12. No Sale Of Personal Information
Simply Help does not sell personal information to third parties.
Some privacy laws define terms such as "sale" or "sharing" broadly enough to cover advertising and measurement tools like the Meta Pixel described in Section 5. If you would prefer that we not share your information for advertising purposes, email support@getsimplyhelp.com, or use the browser and Meta ad settings described in Section 5.
13. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as our payment processor. Simply Help is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites you access through those links.
14. Business Transfers
If Simply Help is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
15. Data Retention
Simply Help retains information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and protect the Platform.
16. Your Rights And Account Deletion Requests
Users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information, subject to legal limitations, by emailing support@getsimplyhelp.com. We may retain certain information when needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, safety, or legitimate business purposes.
17. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including encryption where applicable, authentication, and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
18. International Users
The Platform is operated from the United States.
19. Children
Simply Help is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
20. Text Messages
Helpers may opt in to receive text messages alerting them when a customer posts a new job they can claim. This is optional, off by default, and never a condition of using Simply Help. We do not send marketing texts.
Consent is collected through an explicit in-product prompt after helper signup and can be withdrawn at any time by replying STOP to any message or by turning the setting off under Account settings. Message frequency varies, typically 0–5 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for assistance.
Mobile phone numbers collected for text messaging are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Numbers are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the messages on our behalf. Full program details are on our Text Message Program page at getsimplyhelp.com/sms.
21. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform changes. Continued use of Simply Help after updates means the revised policy applies.
22. Contact
Contact support@getsimplyhelp.com with privacy, legal, or support questions.
