Terms of Service

Effective May 29, 2026. Please review these Terms before using Simply Help.

1. About Simply Help

Simply Help L.L.C. is an online marketplace platform based in Florida that connects customers with independent helpers for local tasks. Simply Help does not perform, supervise, manage, or directly provide any services advertised, accepted, or completed through the platform.

At launch, Simply Help operates within Hillsborough County and Pinellas County, Florida. Service areas may expand or change over time.

2. User Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Simply Help. By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Marketplace Relationship

Helpers are independent contractors and platform users. Helpers are not employees, agents, representatives, partners, or joint venturers of Simply Help.

Customers set the initial task price when posting a job and may modify the price before a helper accepts the task. Simply Help does not establish, negotiate, or control the prices charged for tasks.

4. Tasks, Safety, And User Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate task details and a safe work environment. Helpers are responsible for accepting only tasks they are qualified and prepared to perform, including having the skills, tools, transportation, and judgment needed for the task.

Users are responsible for their own safety when meeting or working with others in person. Simply Help does not currently provide insurance coverage for users, tasks, or services arranged through the platform.

Prohibited tasks include, without limitation:

  • Illegal activities or tasks that violate local, state, or federal law
  • Dangerous work or unsafe working conditions
  • Licensed professional services unless required credentials are provided before work begins
  • Firearms-related work, controlled substances, adult services, scams, or fraudulent activity

5. Payments And Platform Fees

Simply Help charges customers a platform service fee equal to 5% of the posted task amount. Helpers receive the full task amount displayed and accepted through the platform, subject to applicable payment processing requirements.

Once a helper accepts a task, the customer's payment method may be authorized for the task amount plus any applicable platform fees. Funds are generally captured after the task is marked complete or otherwise finalized through the platform.

Payments are processed through Stripe or another designated payment processor. Payment processing times may vary based on the payment provider and banking institution.

6. Cancellations And Refunds

Customers may cancel a task without charge before a helper accepts the task.

If a customer cancels a task after a helper has accepted it, Simply Help may charge a cancellation fee equal to 5% of the task amount, with a minimum cancellation fee of $3.

If a customer cancels shortly before the scheduled task time, Simply Help may charge a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the task amount, with a minimum cancellation fee of $5. Cancellation fees are intended to compensate for reserved time, platform resources, and administrative costs.

Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Refunds may be considered for duplicate charges, fraud, platform errors, or substantial non-performance. Simply Help reserves sole discretion regarding refund eligibility and refund amounts.

7. Disputes Between Users

Customers and helpers are expected to communicate and attempt to resolve disputes directly. Simply Help may review disputes, account activity, communications, and supporting evidence, but is not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, investigate, or resolve disputes between users.

8. Off-Platform Payments And Communications

Users may communicate as needed to complete tasks, but platform payments are strongly encouraged and may be required under these Terms. Payment outside the platform, circumvention of platform fees, or attempts to move transactions off-platform may result in suspension or termination.

9. Account Restrictions Or Termination

Simply Help may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts for reasons including:

  • Fraud, fake accounts, harassment, threats, or safety violations
  • Repeated complaints, repeated cancellations, or repeated failure to complete accepted tasks
  • Circumventing platform fees, moving payments off-platform, illegal conduct, or violating these Terms

10. No Guarantees

Simply Help does not guarantee the quality, legality, safety, completion, availability, suitability, timing, conduct, or outcome of any task, helper, customer, or service arranged through the platform.

11. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simply Help is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, property damage, disputes, missed appointments, incomplete work, payment issues, user conduct, or other claims arising from tasks or interactions between users. Users assume the risks of meeting, hiring, working with, or performing tasks for other users.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simply Help L.L.C. from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the platform, your tasks, your conduct, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Governing Law And Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Before starting a formal dispute, users agree to contact Simply Help at support@getsimplyhelp.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration, except where applicable law permits a claim to proceed in small claims court or requires another process.

14. Changes To These Terms

Simply Help may update these Terms, including cancellation fees, timing thresholds, service areas, payment rules, and related policies. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
